Summer Reading List

Hello!

It's summertime and that means it's time to share with you some of the books that I can't wait to read this season while I'm relaxing out by the pool and working on my tan! Without further ado, here are my top five books...

You can’t have a summer reading list without a book by Elin Hilderbrand (at least I can’t). I’ve read every single one of her books and thankfully her book, The Identicals, just came out last week just in time for summer. The Identicals is about the Frost twins, Harper and Tabitha, and the summer that will change their lives forever.

Jane Green is another author that I have read a quite a few of her novels, and she too has a new book that recently came out, The Sunshine Sisters. Sister’s Nell, Meredith, and Lizzy Sunshine aren’t close and lead very different lives. This all changes when their mother, Roni, becomes ill. The illness forces them to come together. As they face the loss of their mother, they will discover if blood might be thicker than water after all.

I loved Frederik Backman’s, A Man Called Ove, so much I wanted to give this one a try too! Beartown is an endangered, tiny community in the forest. “Beartown explores the hopes that bring a small community together, the secrets that tear it apart, and the courage it takes for an individual to go against the grain.”

This is a perfect summer beach read for my list. Secrets in Summer takes place on Nantucket. Darcy Cotterill is a year-round resident of the island. This summer Darcy has a lot on her plate. Her ex-husband, Boyz, is staying next door, she’s in a new relationship with the local carpenter, Nick, and she becomes smitten with vacationer, Clive. At the end of the summer, Darcy is faced with a decision. What’s a girl to do? Should she stay on the island, or risk it all for a chance at true happiness.

Su Yi, the matriarch of a massive fortune, is on her deathbed, and the entire Shang-Young Clan has come home to get a piece of the inheritance. Rich People Problems is an “uproarious new novel of a family riven by fortune, an ex-wife driven psychotic with jealousy, a battle royal fought through couture gown sabotage, and the heir to one of Asia's greatest fortunes locked out of his inheritance."

What's on your reading list for this summer?

Until next time...
